Digital Dermatologist
Not too long ago, I got a panicked call from an actress… she had a blemish and we were less than 24 hours from her photo shoot. Should she reschedule?

I tried to calm her and explained that I had dealt with far more sever skin problems than a blemish. And since a picture is worth a thousand words, I emailed her some before and after examples to illustrate. After that, all was well and we had a great shoot the next day.
The digital tools we use today were not available just a few years ago. And although a skilled retoucher could do wonders, if the skin was very bad there was just so much that could be done without it starting to look retouched or airbrushed. This is no longer true. But just because we can, doesn’t mean that we always should. For actors in particular, I recommend a light touch when it comes to retouching.
Of course any temporary skin problem should be removed, and if you chose we can also take care of frown lines, wrinkles, tattoos, freckles, piercings, or acne…
We’ll discuss all this when we meet and together come up with just the right formula for your particular needs.
A talented make-up artist combined with the right lighting and a light touch in post (i.e. retouching and enhancing) will give you a natural and radiant complexion you can be proud of.
